Well hey there!
My name is Kori and I love to eat! My love for food began when I was 5 years old and my parents told me that calamari was mini onion rings and to give them a try. One bite and I became what I can only guess was the youngest foodie in the history of mankind (possibly, however fact-checking on this was wikipedia level scarce).
As most kids I dreamed of one day being a dancer/vet/lawyer/princess. As I got a little older I really considered turning my passion for cooking and baking into a career. In high school I took classes at the Culinary Institute of America until one day the instructor told us in a baking seminar that owning your own bakery meant waking up early enough to start baking at 3am. Just like a typical teenager I tossed that idea in the trash real quick.
From then on I focused all my attention on my second love, photography. I went on to study at Rochester Institute of Technology and graduated with a BFA in Advertising Photography with a double minor in New Media Production as well as Advertising and Public Relations.
I continued to be the go-to cook for my college friends through the years. They would eat while I would be having mini photoshoots in my kitchen for images to post to Instagram. It wasn't until one of them mentioned that I should combine my two passions that I considered becoming a food stylist and food photographer.
And abracadabra, here I am today! Just a kid at heart having her cake and eating it too.
